Tempered glass is one of the most common items which is used in every room whether it is office or a bedroom. However tempered glass comes in different thicknesses which can be suitable for different purposes. Following are the thicknesses available for tempered glass and their usage.
mm: This is the thinnest glass which is light weight. However, it doesn’t offer much strength and only suitable as glass cover, can be used in picture frames or other light weight use where only a protection layer is required.
mm: This glass thickness is most commonly used as it is light weight as well as strong enough to be durable as compare to 4mm glass. However, it still cannot bear heavy loads and only suitable for glass table protector or window glass.
mm: If you need strong glass as well as light weight then it is the best thickness to choose. It can be used as table top where there is no surface support. Also, it can be used as glass boards and partitions.
mm: This is a thick glass type and highly durable however it weights more and can be used in shower doors, commercial doors etc.
mm: This is also very thick and heavy weight. This glass is suitable for places where a very strong glass is required for example glass balustrades, glass doors, pool fencing etc.
mm: This glass can be used in stairs or as sky light windows and can also bear a lot of weight.
